Claudia Avalos is an attorney that has been practicing family and immigration law in the private sector since 2003. She graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1998 and obtained her B.B.A. from Houston Baptist University where she majored in Bilingual and Elementary Education in 1994.
In her family law practice, she often serves as amicus attorney and attorney ad litem for children in custody and child protective services cases as well representing parties in their own divorce or custody cases.
In her immigration practice, Mrs. Avalos helps individuals that are seeking a change of status and those in deportation proceedings before the immigration court. Prior to having her own practice, Mrs. Avalos worked for the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office in their civil department, juvenile department and then headed their Child Protective Services department.
